Pete Cabrelli, President

Married in 1965, has three married daughters, and six grandchildren. His wife is a retired independent caterer in the Atlanta area.  He was raised in the Philadelphia, PA area, attended public high school and went on to Pennsylvania Military College, Class of 1966, Accounting.  Continuing education has included MAFSI Annual Conferences, NAFEM sponsored management and sales workshops, Dale Carnegie Human Relations Course, "Professional Selling" seminars at Georgia State University, and the MANA—sponsored Certified Professional Manufacturer’s Agent at Arizona State University. This was a three-year commitment.
Hired into the industry in August, 1967 by Insinger Machine Company and was relocated to Atlanta after five months of factory training.  In August, 1968 he was moved to Boston where he worked until January, 1970.  At that time he moved back to Atlanta to work for a leading independent agent until October 1971 when he started his own business.
An active member in industry and community associations he has been Chapter President and Board of Directors Member of MAFSI. 

He was selected Program Chairman for the 1994 MAFSI Annual Conference and provided a very successful conference in Cancun, Mexico. At the 1996 MAFSI Conference he was elected President. Pete was the key MAFSI figure in the development of the NAEM/MAFSI Principles of Decisions manual. Current responsibilities include the NAFEM/MAFSI Liaison member. He was in the Charter Group of NAFEM CFSP certification program inductees and attained Level I soon afterward. He was recently elected to the CFSP Board of Governors. Peter was honored with a “Doctorate of Foodservice” at the 1997 NAFEM Awards banquet. He was on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Hospitality and Travel Association for 15 years and Chairman of the Exhibitor's Committee for their show. In 1988 he was elected as the "Allied Member of the Year" by GHTA.  He has been on his Parish Finance Committee and President of the Parish Council.  In 1997 he was appointed to the Advisory Boards of both Morris Brown College and Georgia State University Schools of Hospitality Management.  
 
An amateur inventor, he is the holder of an industry related patent. Peter enjoys his grand children, tennis, sports cars, computers, music, and reading.

He is responsible for sales in the Georgia area in conjunction with Barry Ford and managing the business.
